C-TRAN IDENTIFICATION CARDS are required for special/reduced fares (cash fares, tickets or passes). C-TRAN ID cards must be obtained at one of the three Customer Service Offices. ID cards are non-transferrable and are not valid if used by someone other than the signator. Use in this manner is considered fraud and is punishable under state law. C-TRAN is not responsible for lost or stolen ID cards. Adult cash fare or purchase of an Adult monthly pass will be required without a valid ID card. Contact the Customer Service office by e-mail, telephone or visit in person for more information. - Youth are 18 years and under. Proof of age is required (13-18 years). Discount on monthly pass only. No cash fare discount.
- Low Income: Verification required through proof of current receipt of Washington State Medical Coupons or a Washington State Food Stamp ID card only. C-TRAN does not accept any other form of low income qualification. Discount on monthly pass only. No cash fare discount.
- Children six and under ride free when accompanied by an adult.
- Senior Citizens are 62 years of age and over and may be required to show proof of age.
- Disabled must have proof of permanent disability with a Medicare card, ID card issued by another transit agency, coded medical coupon from the Sate of Washington or a doctor's certificate. A doctor's signature and/or the issuing agency stamp is required to obtain an ID card. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) uses the following categories:
Visually impaired;
Hearing impaired;
Motor skill disability such as epilipsy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis or late-stage terminal illnes which renders the person unable to drive; ambulatory limitations such as artificial limbs or needing the use of a walker, crutches or wheelchair; or
Cognitive limitation or permanent, serious cognitive impairment. - Attendant Program: Disabled passengers who have difficulty riding the bus alone may travel with a personal attendant. A special identification sticker on a C-TRAN Honored Citizen ID card is required. The passenger pays their appropriate fare and the attendant may ride free. - Summer Blast Pass is a discounted summer youth pass for youth 18 and under. Valid June, July and August on all C-TRAN routes, Tri-Met and MAX. Check the Summer Blast Pass page for more information.
- Transfers are valid for a minimum of one hour from the time issued on weekdays and two hours from the time issued on weekends. While valid, transfers can be used for travel in any direction, on any route. Tri-Met transfers, tickets and passes may be used on C-TRAN according to C-TRAN/Tri-Met fare rules. Tri-Met fare structure subject ot change. Transfers cannot be upgraded.
C-TRAN/Tri-Met Fares
C-TRAN/Tri-Met Fare rules allow for the use of Tri-Met transfers, tickets and passes on C-TRAN, when valid for the appropriate zone. Additionally, C-TRAN tickets and passes can be used on Tri-Met and MAX, when valid for the appropriate zones.

C-TRAN Annual Pass Program
The C-TRAN Annual Pass Program was introduced in December 2001 and is a 12-month Pass-by-Mail program. Customers may sign-up and pay for the passes at any time during the year. Then, each month, C-TRAN will mail the regular monthly pass to the customers designated address.

Consistent with existing monthly pass policy, C-TRAN is not responsible for replacing lost or stolen individual monthly passes. Under certain circumstances (death, serious illness, unemployment, etc.), the Annual Pass Program is refundable.
A reminder that customers who sign up for the Annual Pass Program must pay the full annual cost up front; however, Annual Pass Program participants receive 12 months of bus service for the price of 11 months.
This C-TRAN service allows our customers to purchase their monthly passes and ticket booklets by maileach month. Customers send their monthly order and payment to our Customer Service Office, and we return their passes orticket booklets, along with an order form for the next month, by mail. Orders for monthly passes must be received by the10th of the month before the month for which you are purchasing the pass. Your pass will be mailed to arrive by the 1stof the month for which it is valid. Requests for ticket booklets may be made at any time.
